Our Doggy ISAs (or DISAs for short) provide the perfect investment opportunity for your favourite four-legged friend. Fancy toys, vet bills, those funny little coats – whatever your dog needs, now you have a dedicated tax-efficient savings pot to help pamper, preen and care for them.
We like to keep our eye on market trends, and we’re always open to our customers’ ideas. With the increase in dog ownership during lockdown, we’ve had more people asking for a way to invest for their fur babies – so, we've launched an ISA just for dogs!
With investing your capital is at risk
Yes, you can. But we’ve made some changes. Instead of our classic ‘Cautious’ to ’Adventurous’ investment styles, we’ve updated their names to better reflect the characteristics of some of the nation’s favourite dogs.
For that reason, the DISA investment styles available are:
The Chihuahua
(Cautious)
The Miniature Schnauzer
(Tentative)
The Labrador
(Confident)
The German Shepherd
(Ambitious)
The Great Dane
(Adventurous)
As amazing as it would be to launch an ISA for dogs, it’s simply not possible as the UK government haven’t yet announced any tax-free savings allowances for our favourite furry friends.
However with the average Brit spending around £240 on their pampered pooches every month, saving for your dog may not be such a bad idea after all. Whether or not you already have an account with us, why not set up a separate Plan just to help fund for your favourite furry friend?
Start a planWhat’s not a joke, however, is the number of dogs in the UK who require rehoming each year - more than 10,000 every year.
To give every dog a chance at happiness, we’re pleased to be donating £1,000 to Dogs Trust, helping them look after and care for the dogs in their rehoming shelters.
Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for over 14,300 dogs across its network of 21 rehoming centres across the UK and Ireland. The charity supports dogs and dog lovers with training, advice and outreach projects, making them the UK’s leading voice in dog welfare. Dogs Trust is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
